Barton Cup

The FBD Barton Cup is one of the most prestigious and popular competitions in the golfing calendar. The competition began back in 1904 and FBD were pleased to become sponsors in 1987.

There were 7 clubs in 1905 and 100 years later in the centenary year, 129 clubs will have played their first round games. Ten of the twelve Leinster counties can boast of having a winning FBD Barton Cup team the exceptions being Longford and Wexford.

This is a Leinster branch competition with the first round being played in April and continuing through the summer with the final in 2 legs happening in late August/early September.
